Our People

Beverly Hawpe and Associates staff members are highly credentialed. All of our therapists are trained, experienced, and licensed and hold nationally recognized certifications. They are Licensed Professional Counselors and experienced and certified addictions therapists. Our licensed therapists have experience in all aspects of diagnostic assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and referral to community resources.

We place strong emphasis on personal empowerment and greatly respect and value the uniqueness of the individual. Our team of dedicated professionals helps each individual identify, adapt, and deal with difficult times. Our goal is to build a foundation of trust in a therapeutic environment that not only helps you get back on track, but also improve your quality of life.

Beverly completed her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology in May 1981 at Central State University in Edmond, OK and was licensed as a professional counselor in 1986. Beverly was certified as an addictions counselor in1983 and has worked continuously in the field of mental health/addictions for the past 23 years. She has been licensed to practice in the state of Colorado since 1990. Beverly served on the state committee in Oklahoma for the certification of addictions counselors, and has been a presenter at many professional conferences.

Beverly has enjoyed the opportunity to work in many settings to enhance her experience, knowledge, and skills. She has worked in clinical and administrative settings in inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, specialized in the treatment of adolescents, worked in prevention and educational settings, served as an expert witness in court testimony, served as a psychology instructor on the college level, and been in private practice in Colorado Springs since 1997.  Beverly has also had specialized training in the treatment of eating disorders and worked extensively in both inpatient and outpatient eating disorder programs.

Beverly believes that therapy is a cooperative effort to assist people in the identification, understanding, and modification of cognitive roadblocks to change. Her therapeutic approach engages one in a direct and clearly identified process of change utilizing techniques which will quickly address the reduction in stress and discomfort. Beverly has a unique ability to understand and facilitate the healing process in a professional, genuine, and highly successful manner.

Pam completed her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions counselor, and a Nationally Certified counselor. 

Pam has developed her clinical skills through a variety of settings, including being a Treatment Coordinator at a residential treatment center for adolescent boys, working with the Severely and Persistently Mentally Ill in an outpatient setting, a therapist for children in a child placement agency, and a substance abuse therapist in a Employee Assistance setting.  This diverse experience is helpful in treating many different clients and their issues.

Ms. Wiebelhaus has worked in the field of addictions and mental health for the past 14 years.  She has provided counseling services to adolescents, and adults in group, marital, and individual settings.  Her special interests include working with substance abusing adults to improve their overall health and working with families to improve their family relationships and life adjustment issues.  A Cognitive Behavioral approach to therapy is utilized to confront thinking errors and make positive behavioral changes. 

Pam believes strongly in the power of humor to help engage clients in the therapeutic process when addressing roadblocks in their lives. Pam has learned to utilize humor in a healing way to facilitate the recovery process, create a willingness to address uncomfortable feelings, and to support the change process

DeeDee completed her Masters of Arts degree in Community Counseling at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She is currently a Nationally Certified Counselor and is working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Certification as an Addictions Counselor is anticipated in the Fall of 2008.

DeeDee has many years of experience working with adolescents and the emotional trauma suffered from abandoment and abuse. She is trained in crisis intervention and the broad specturm of mental health disorders relating to substance abuse.
